Getting to Your Private Island
We choose the Holiday Inn Kandooma because it was only an hour away by speed boat and not outrageously expensive like some of the others. Most resorts in the Maldives have their own private island. From the moment the Holiday Inn staff picked us up at the airport to the day they dropped us back, we received 5 star impeccable service. The island is big enough to get lost and has lots of walking trails. The snorkeling lessons are free and there is a large swimming pool with a waterfall right on the beach.
